20 minutes

'I'll reach there in 5 minutes' she texted the guy whom she was going to meet that evening. After thinking a lot about many things, she decided to meet this guy who approached her. It has been long since she ever dated. She was excited to meet this person and expected him to be interesting.  She was wearing her favorite outfit, paired up with her favorite accessories and she completed the look with slight fresh looking make-up. She reached on time as she promised. Not witnessing any trace of a waiting guy, her heart sulked. She called him. No reply. Slightly annoyed, she parked her vehicle near the decided meeting spot and sat on the service footpath. While waiting, her mind was flooded with all her past incidents, thinking how people kept her on hold every time. She was an option for those guys. She was still searching for that guy who'll wish to be with her by his choice without any need of begging. 10 minutes later this guy called and informed that he was stuck in traffic, by this time she was clear that this time she is not ready to wait. Enough of being treated for granted. Who gets late on first date??. She wanted to leave but to prove her point that she reached on time on her first date with him, she stayed. After 10 more minutes, he arrived. They shook hands to greet each other. He started the conversion with asking about her day. Strangely she didn't feel like replying but not to sound so rude she shared details about her day. After that this guy tried to impress her by telling how many factories he owns,  how open minded he is and how he totally believes in women empowerment. All this sounded like irritating noise to her. Somehow she managed to cut short that date and returned home. She texted him, 'Sorry, relationships are not meant for me, please move on'. Those 20 minutes changed the whole dynamics of their potential relationship or may be she was waiting for someone since years and may be its just that faint ray of hope which stops her every time to move on.

5 life lessons I learnt from my Dad

People who know me closely are aware of Tom & Jerry kind of relationship between me and my father. Off course no relationship is perfect and me and my papa is best example of that. Fighting, blaming, taunting, arguing, debating and stop talking are common events between us. Suppose you are in a strange land with no known people around you and coincidentally you find a person from your place (country/state/city) whom you had never met before. Only thing you know about him/her is that he/she is from your land. At once you’ll be friends with that person and a fabric of trust will connect you both immediately.
