The star-lit-jungle date

After some painful heartbreaks and having enjoyed single-hood to the maximum before and after those energy sucking relationships, I am glad that my hope on love didn't disappoint me. I am with an awesome guy who helped me rebuild faith in relationships and his presence in my life made me realize why it didn't work out with anyone else. With Him, life seems like a beautiful journey full of adventures and we make sure we keep doing new things together to collect as many first-time memories as we can so that our kids may never fall short of stories. Last weekend we both enrolled for night sky photography workshop in the tribal areas of Daang (bhenskatri village) and boy!! I must tell you it was the best date ever! 
We went with group of twenty other photographers and astronomy enthusiasts. Interacting with them was great but guess what I had the best company with me, 'Him'. He set up his camera for the best frames and I arranged dinner for us. We ate together in the torchlight talking about his passion for photography and my love for night sky observation. I asked him so many questions regarding photography and he answered everything patiently making sure I understand everything. He had night job on the previous night of the workshop so hadn't slept for 36 hours, yet he was completely aware, awake and excited about the photos he was going to click.  
throughout the night he held my hand and took care of me while moving from one place to other in the eerie dark jungle. We sang some hindi romantic songs together, talked about stars, their birth and death, milky way, other galaxies, end of the universe and how insignificant we are in front of this unfathomable media of space and time. I always wanted to be with a person with whom I can have long long very long conversations and in the time frame of that moment I felt that he is the One, I was always waiting for. Lying down besides him holding his hand in mine, gazing the mysterious sky, I promised; "I'll always be there for you" and the Universe witnessed.

The Unsettling Questions...

Today Kanika came back from her office little early. She made some sandwiches for her dinner and comforted herself on couch in front of the TV. She changed almost all channels but couldn’t find any interesting show to watch. She had some shopping to do but she delayed that on weekend as she was not willing to step out of her home after an exhausting day at work. Playing some songs of her customised playlist, she ate her dinner. While she was having dinner, her phone vibrated many times to give the notification that there might be some whatsapp messages but today Kanika was not interested in chatting with friends.
