My recent discovery in world of journalism: Vinod Dua


After Arnab Goswami left Times Now, I really started feeling the void and didn't knew what to depend on to get insights of important issues affecting our country. Moreover towards the end of Arnab's term, I felt that he lost his perception towards politicians and the debates seemed quite biased. But I am eagerly waiting for his comeback. So meanwhile I am exploring different news and debate platforms. To my surprise these days comedy has lot to offer. The stand-up comedians of our country are awesome and have taken comedy as a medium to express their views. Only thing that they use fowl language sometimes to make their piece of art palatable, doesn't appeals to me. While watching one such comedy show of Mallika Dua, I came to know about her background that her father is a popular journalist, Vinod Dua. I searched for him on google and found that he has a youtube channel, 'The Wire' to present true news with help of short videos. I watched some of his videos and I must tell you, I am a fan now. He is presenting the news from the angles we all miss to view, which is very different from the myopic news and views presented by other channels. 5 life lessons I learnt from my Dad

People who know me closely are aware of Tom & Jerry kind of relationship between me and my father. Off course no relationship is perfect and me and my papa is best example of that. Fighting, blaming, taunting, arguing, debating and stop talking are common events between us. Suppose you are in a strange land with no known people around you and coincidentally you find a person from your place (country/state/city) whom you had never met before. Only thing you know about him/her is that he/she is from your land. At once you’ll be friends with that person and a fabric of trust will connect you both immediately.
