10 one liners to tell you why I love Arnab Goswami.

Not having TV at home has its own pros and cons. I never get to see news. And when I plan to watch something on youtube, I choose to watch Comedy Nights with Kapil or inspiring TED Talks. I have liked the FB page of TOI so I get notifications of important news reports which I read sometimes if the headline interests me. And reading news papers nowadays don't fit my schedule. Moreover I'am kind a bored by reading same newspaper in Gujarati since 8 years as the writers are same and mostly their writings show repetition.  A month back on a free afternoon, I was trying to search something interesting to watch on youtube and I came across one video of news hour debate on India's_Godman_culture conducted by Arnab Goswami. That was the first time I saw Arnab Goswami though I had watched TVF spoof of Arnab Goswami done by Arnub Kumar. I watched that whole debate and those 45 minutes my eyes were completely glued on my laptop screen. I had just started admiring this super aw...

Knock Knock : : We have not yet found an alternative of Earth.

The recent prediction as presented by a Times Of India report says that 2016 will be the hottest year among 2014 2015 and 2016. I am little perplexed. Am I the only one who is feeling this ever existent – more than required warmth in the urban areas? Or am I the only one who has read so many things about man made global warming and can relate to it? Why are the well educated and well aware people not speaking a word about conservation of Environment. Is this one issue which everyone is missing out?? Why people of India are afraid of sensationalizing this extremely important issue which the whole World is talking about? Let me try to make my point with a question.. Do you think killing, robbing, exploiting is crime? If yes then don’t you think we are being too unfair to nature? I can see injustice happening with the Environment during the festivals we celebrate. Celebrations have now become more of a pompous show in an unhealthy competitive way rather than having quality time with...

5 life lessons I learnt from my Dad

People who know me closely are aware of Tom & Jerry kind of relationship between me and my father. Off course no relationship is perfect and me and my papa is best example of that. Fighting, blaming, taunting, arguing, debating and stop talking are common events between us. Our relationship has a Kabhi-Khushi-Kabhi-Gam type of history but as I grew up I started accepting him the way he is and I realized that my papa is a jewel. I can learn several things from him. Its just that I’ve to deal with his quirkiness sometimes. List is long but here I want to share 5 most important things I learnt from him.   Accepting simplicity as a lifestyle :-  Being born in TV era, as a kid I was also very influenced by the virtual world very far from reality. I had aspirations like having very good clothes and to be richest person on the planet so that I could buy all the luxuries for myself. But I am a transformed person now. I see my papa, he has very minimal necessities for surv...

The one

This is a story of HER! Today she depicts her story in her own words! For THE ONE who wants to know HER! she's clumsy, she's unmanageable sometimes, But she will be there to manage your any of the worst times!! Her mood swings are difficult to judge and confusing as well, But her heart is the safest place where you can dwell!! She might be broken in pieces when she smiles at you bright, The only thing she wants is THE ONE who holds her hand tight!! She is scared to believe and trust anyone, But now she's relieved, bcz she trusts more than herself in THE ONE!! She's rude and miserable you can say, But she's strong enough to find her own ways!! She ll hide her feelings from the world around her, But deep in her heart she knows THE ONE who matters to her!! She's the one who depends on you the most, But don't judge her though as this is the way she shows her trust!! She's not the most beautiful girl you could find,  But she promises you to make the MOMENTS M...

From the Archives: Trend called Engineering

In this era the economic development of any country is mostly dependent on the technological advancements and innovations. So it is inevitable that the students pursuing their academic careers in the field of engineering and technology are mostly to be looked upon. But unfortunately our country India has not succeeded much in producing excellent innovators and technologists. Why it has happened so? I think it is because of this crowd following attitude of our people that has lead us to this situation. From many instances I have observed one specific trait in those parents who want their children to opt for engineering as a career is that they think that their children as engineers will be a matter of vanity for them which they can talk about when they socialize with their friends in a club party or in a garden.  Most of the parents think that if their son would be an engineer then it would be easy for him to marry a good girl. So are we making good engineers or eligible husba...

World is still a better place

Last Sunday was my papa’s birthday. To celebrate his 57 complete revolutions around the sun that too after the almost fatal heart attack he faced in December 2014, we decided to dine at a popular south Indian restaurant of our city. The people who have not spent Sundays in Surat will not have a clue about how is the condition of the city roads on Sundays. People come out of their homes to celebrate the day off from their work. Also the ladies who are homemakers take a day off from their kitchens and families dine out. Not a single food vendor is free on Sunday in Surat. Traffic jams and unavailability of Parking space is the biggest issue in our city if one plans to go out on Sunday evening. Every Sunday my Nanaji comes to meet us and in evening I have this duty to drop him at his place so I am quite used to of driving in irritating traffic. But if any festival falls on Sunday, the cars will only move using clutches. That day was Sunday as well as Id so the city roads were flo...

Kyu na..

Kyu teri haqiqat ko hi Jannat kaha jaaye, Kyu naa teri yaado ko us Khuda ki Rehmat kaha jaaye! Kyu Tere saath sirf haske hi duniyaa basai jaaye, Kyu na Tere ashko me duniyaa bhulai jaaye.. Kyu Tere khwabo mein hi do pal bitaaye jaye, Kyu na Tere khayaalo mein Ek umra beetaa di jaaye... Kyu tere hone ko hi khwab kaha jaaye, Kyu naa tujhse bichadne ko bhi nayi shuruat kaha jaye! Kyu doobne ke liye samandar ko hi choona jaaye, kyu na aaj tumhari aankho par bhi gaur farmaya jaaye...:) Kyu duriyon me is Dil ko aur Jalaaya jaaye, Kyu naa is Dard-E-Ishq ka muskurake Jashn manaya jaaye.. Kyu apne ehashas ko dabe lafzo me bataya jaay, Kyu na is mehfil ko aur aage badhaya jaaye.. Kyu na aaj is dil ka khazaana khola jaaye, Kyu na kuchh purana samaan pyaar se sanjoya jaaye .. Kyu judai ki tanhai me armaano ko kho diya jaaye, Kyu naa is Gham-E-Ishq me khud ko hi paa liya jaay..  Kyu unke jaate hue kadamo par nigahon ko  yun thahra diya jaye.. Kyu na unhi k...
